Ettamogah Pub - Cunderdin, WA

Hi Friends,

I hope all of you at home (NS) enjoyed your Apple Blossom weekend! I can’t believe this is my second year in a row missing it, although this year it was MUCH easier to miss out on I still thought about it about every 5 minutes. Watching the parade at snowys, hitting a barbie at aunt mary’s then finding michieve in the evenings always makes for such an epic weekend.

So, one week, two days ago way to early in the morning I arrived in Cunderdin, just 2 hours out of Perth the smallest little one street town around. I started straight away at the local pub (only pub.) Its super cruisy and everyone is real nice. Im living in a 4bdrm house with 2 other gals, Jamie from New Zealand and Veronika (ronnie) from Estonia! They are both great and made moving here real easy! Slowly but surely Im getting to know all the locals, and their drinks before to long I’d say Ill be going pro at this small town pub deal. Anyways, Im here to make some monnnnnnnnney, and then attempt to save it ha.

JENNAAAA MARIE CONNELL booked her plane ticket here, she was the last person, aside from Luke, that I saw before peacing out to the land down under and she will be the first person from home Ive seen in a year! you can probably sort out for yourself how excited I am! Girl and I are gonna start her trip of right by travelling the East Coast - Carins, Darwin, GBR, Brisbane, Byron! Doing it all!

Anyways, there is a bit of a slack update of my life.

This is the view of the city and the Swan River from Kings Park. Kings Park is the biggest inner city park in the wholeeee wide world. It’s big and confusing, but really pretty.

Every single time I try to take a decent, front facing jumping picture I end up sucking air. So typical - Anyways, this is me on a beach. The beaches in Perth are unreal. On this particular day I saw a Sting Ray- but hey, no worries I did a little better than Steve Irwin and got away … ( too soon?? ..never)

I went to a Mexican party and showed them all how to funnel. ( I realize some people may not approve of this picture, but some will be bloody proud.. so it evens out.. )

Hi Friends,

As you all know (or should know, or Im concerned about our friendship…) I have moved out of Tasmania and onto the city of Perth which is in Western Australia. I made the move three weeks ago now with 5 others from Tasmania, all Irish kids. After a quick and pretty fricken amazing stop in Melbourne we got right to Perth and started our job hunt, I got real lucky and found one after a couple of hours. Halo is a fine dining restaurant located right on the beautiful waterfront in Perth. We serve mostly seafood and a hella lot of wine. Everything about this place is perfect, or is supposed to be, including the wait staff… so we all know how that is going for me, haha, Im trying really hard, and sometimes it is good fun, but sometimes it isn’t - all with time, right? Anyways, the hours just aren’t enough to keep up with my lifestyle so Im on the hunt again. I am still planning on staying at Halo in the evenings and for some lunches, but also looking for another part time job. ANYWAYS- that’s the boring stuff.

For two weeks I lived with the ever lovely and wild Kristen Charlebois from Jasper, it was SO much fun, the girl is near as crazy as me, and only 18 so you can just imagine. After two weeks it was time to get sorted into a hostel and head back into the lifestyle of less showers, more sweatpants and good chats with my irish friends AND of course meeting all kinds of really cool people from all over the world again. We ( me+ the irish ) tried to find a flat or a house to live in, after finding my absolute dream house, with a LEMON tree in the backyard we realized we cannot afford to live here haha, so hostel life it is for a couple more weeks.

…… which leads me to the most exciting thing to happen to my life in the last couple months which is that my girl Laura from Melbs is moving to Perth next week!!!! Im beyond excited. Hopefully we can get into a house and just share a room for a month or so and save (crossing all fingers and toes) some money.

Anyways, thats the basic stuff. Sorry I’ve been so slack I really can’t be bothered much to think and write, and then read over again… but I guess you kids are worth it, minus the editing bit, defo’s not doing that.

XOXO
